Oyetola polled a total of 255,505 votes after the collation of the results of the supplementary election in seven polling units across four local governments, while PDP’s Ademola Adeleke polled a total of 255,023 votes to come second.
But at the initial election which held last Saturday, Davido’s uncle scored the highest number of votes, beating Oyetola with 353 votes but INEC declared the election inconclusive and ordered a rerun because the number of cancelled votes in the seven polling units was far higher than the margin by which Adeleke beat Oyetola.
Following this supplementary votes on Thursday, Oyetola overtook and beat Adeleke with a total margin of 482 votes.
Reacting to the outcome of the supplementary election, Davido wrote: ‘God knows best ! Best believe he will come thru soon,’ while replying to a Twitter user.

Some of the actors in the movie include Yinka Quadri, Abimbola Ogunnowo and lots of A-list actors; it’s a star-studded movie. I have also done a lot of other jobs with other colleagues. Asides movies, I’m also a fashion entrepreneur and I’ve done a lot in that regard. My daughter recently launched a make-up line and we’ve been doing a lot of work on it.

The election, which held across the 361 political wards of the state, was to pass affirmative vote on President Buhari, who is the party’s sole aspirant for the 2019 presidential election.
Announcing the result of the election on Friday night at the party’s secretariat, the Returning Officer, Aminu Bello Masari, said President Buhari polled 802,819 votes out of 813,877 accredited voters to emerge victorious.
He said: “Total registered voters 926,285. Those that were accredited to vote are 813,877. Those who cast their votes were 802,819. The winner of the exercise in Katsina is Muhammadu Buhari.
“Therefore, I, Aminu Bello Masari, the Returning Officer hereby satisfied that the information contained in this form and the accurate votes cast in this state, and that the election was conducted through direct primary”.
Meanwhile, the election was conducted peacefully across the 34 Local Government Areas of the state.
