Leo Dasilva robbed in Lagos traffic
Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Leo Babarinde Dasilva revealed he was recently robbed in Lagos state while he was stuck in traffic.
He took to his social media space to reveal he was robbed on Friday in Lagos due to the trucks on the road which caused the gridlock.
Apologizing for being missing in action, he complained over the incident and added that even his rant wouldn’t change the situation prompting a series of messages from his loyal fans. He wrote;

Neymar Risk Jail Term As 3 Judges Set To Preside Over Barcelona Deal
Neymar, may face up to six years in prison over irregularities surrounding his move to Barcelona in 2013.
This statement was made by a Spanish magistrate leading an investigation into allegation of the move.
AFP quoted Judge Jose Maria Vazquez Honrubia as saying, “The term imposed, in principle, could be between four and six years,”
The Judge noted that the decree issued by Neymar, his parents, Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu and his predecessor Sandro Rosell are all awaiting trial over alleged corruption concerning Neymar’s move to the Spanish La Liga giants in 2013.
Recall that the Brazilian international forward is now with Paris Saint-Germain in France’s Ligue 1.
The case was filed by by DIS, a Brazilian group which part-owned the rights to Neymar, alleged “corruption” and “fraud” in the player’s move to Barcelonain May 2013 for a reported fee of 57.1m euros.
It was gathered that no financial details of the deal were revealed by either Barcelona or his Brazilian club FC Santos, but Neymar’s parents were said to have received receive 40m euros and FC Santos 17.1m.
Meanwhile, in January 2014, prosecutors in Madrid began investigating the transfer because documents requested by the authorities contained contradictory information also Rosell resigned from his post as president a week later and Barcelona subsequently revealed they had actually paid 86.2m euros for the Brazilian star.
DIS, who received 6m euros of the 17.1m given to FC Santos, had alleged that Barcelona and the Brazilian club colluded to mask the true cost of the Neymar deal.
By this development, Bartomeu, Rosell, Barcelona, FC Santos and its former president, Odilio Rodrigues Filho, are now expected to answer charges of fraud.
The decree noted that because the prison term involved exceeds five years, three judges are set to preside over Neymar’s trial.
The trial is expected to be heard at the Audiencia Nacional, a high court with jurisdiction over Spanish territory as well as over international crimes which come under the jurisdiction of Spanish courts.
In May 2017 the Spanish authorities said Neymar should stand trial but no date has yet been set thus rising questions on whether or not Neymar would face a prison term.

President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday in Abuja, urged political party aspirants who lost out in the primaries to remain faithful to the country and hold fast on integrity as there will be more opportunities to serve along the way.
Speaking at a dinner with All Progressives Congress (APC) Aspirants Forum at the Presidential Villa, President Buhari said the primary motivation to contest elections should be to improve the country, and not for pecuniary reasons.
“We must maintain our faith in the country,’’ he told the coalition of party members who contested the primaries.
The President said he contested presidential elections three times before coming to power in 2015, adding that providence will always pave the way for the just, committed and patient politician who wants to truly serve the country.
President Buhari told the aspirants that “those who mismanaged the resources of the country are still very much around, with incredible wealth’’, warning the aspirants to be vigilant and circumspect in making choices as the future will only be salvaged by those who love the country.
“I spoke with the APC party chairman almost every other day, at least for an hour during the primaries. And sometimes, we met for two and half hours on ensuring internal democracy during the primaries,’’ the President said.
He pointed out that in spite of all efforts to appease everyone and give them a chance at the polls, some aspirants were still not treated fairly.
“I urge you to stay faithful if your objective is to serve the country. I came back to power in this “agbada’’ to convince Nigerians to make sacrifices that the country needs now for a better future,’’ he added.
In his remarks, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, said the meeting was organised to address grievances and fallout from the APC primary elections across the country.
The minister said it would be unfortunate to allow the grievances overshadow the challenges before the country, assuring the aspirants that the government would assuage their yearnings to serve the country.
Malami said the aspirants should work collectively with the President in building the party and setting up a framework that would ensure healthier relationships and better internal democracy.
The leader of the APC Aspirants Forum, Hon. Yusuf Banki, said the network of 7,000 members will work to ensure President Buhari’s victory at the polls in 2019.

Lionel Messi is back in training for Barcelona after missing the last two games because of a broken bone in his arm.
Messi suffered the injury on October 20 in their 4-2 win against Sevilla which was expected to sideline the Argentina forward for several weeks.
But the 31-year-old, who missed the Champions League win over Inter and Sunday’s 5-1 El Clasico triumph against Real Madrid, joined his team-mates in a photo tweeted by the club with the words ‘Leo Messi returns to training’.
Coach Ernesto Valverde will check Messi’s fitness before deciding whether to bring him back for Saturday’s league game at Rayo Vallecano or delay his return until next Tuesday, when Barcelona travel to the San Siro to face Inter in the Champions League.
Messi had been in stunning form before his injury, netting 12 goals in as many games.
This included four in his last three against Sevilla, where he suffered his injury, Valencia and Tottenham Hotspur.

The residence of Ijako Estate, Akure of the Oluwaseyi bubbled penultimate Thursday, 18th of October, as the royal Entourage of his Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi stormed the residence of Evangelist, Prophetess Shilekunola Morenike Naomi, to seek her hand in marriage.
The royal wedding, which was kept away from the public and media glare paraded those who matter to Kabiyesi and his new found love, Naomi.
Let us gist you about Prophetess Naomi. She is the 25 years old founder of a popular Akure church, En-Heralds, at Sunview Hotel Alagbaka, Akure. It is a big church that boasts of more than 1,000-strong congregation. She started the church 7 years ago, while she started her public Evegelism 8 years ago.
She is a very popular Evangelist in Akure and her church is known as the prayer warriors’ church. Very gentle and highly reserved Prophetess Naomi runs the church with her 50 years old mother, Prophetess Oluyemi, who is an Indigene of Ikenne-Remo. Her father is from Akure, while her father’s marriage to his wife has lasted over 30 years. Their marriage is also blessed with 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls, while Oloori Naomi is the 3rd child.
Prophetess Naomi is known for a very famous crusade and praise programme entitled: Hosanna Night every December to mark the anniversary of the church. Many Akure Christians look forward to the programmes not just because of how she ministers, but because it is always star-studded with A-list Nigerian Gospel artistes performing. Last October, Prophetess Naomi brought Tungba Gospel Musician, Yinka Aiyefele, Yetunde Are, Kenny Kore, and Biyi Samuel to perform at the crusade tag: “Hark the Herald Angels” at The Dome, Akure, Ondo State.
She is a graduate of Akungba Akoko University. The very eloquent and highly respectful Young Oloori doesn’t keep friends. Her crowd is small and her mum is her best friend. She is always in the company of her Mother, whom she addresses as “Wooli Agba” or Wura Mi”. They are always sighted at Malls together in Akure. Our source said the Prophetess hardly went out alone and she loves wearing flowing gown too.
Do you know how kabiyesi met his Oloori? City People’s investigation reveals that Kabiyesi met his beautiful Oloori through her mother many years ago.
It was further revealed that it was an extended relationship with all siblings of Oloori Naomi Ogunwusi. Even the Prophetess was at the palace in Ile-Ife 3 months ago to pray for Kabiyesi and that was when Kabiyesi fell in love with her calmness and cool disposition.
It was further explained that Kabiyesi didn’t only fall in love at first sight; he was impressed and induced when he knew that Prophetess Naomi was a virgin at the time.
This was why kabiyesi asked her out and promised her marriage without further ado. City People’s investigation reveals that it took Oloori and Kabiyesi 3-and-half month to pick a date for the marriage and preparations kicked off immediately.
The first thing Oonirisa did was to keep the date away from many as preparations went on among top family members. All the engagement stuffs were also sourced by Kabiyesi’s siblings who were also warned not to discuss it with outsiders.
As early as noon on that Thursday all was set for the royal journey to the residence of the Oluyemi in Akure. Of course, Kabiyesi didn’t go with them as tradition doesn’t permit him. He has to be at home awaiting his bride. He can also not prostrate for anyone and tradition demands he prostrates for his in-laws.
Who were those on the Royal Journey to Akure you may ask? They include Kabiyesi’s father, Prince Aderopo Ogunwusi and his wife, Mrs Margret Ogunwusi, Sooko Ekun, Prince Bimbo, who is Kabiyesi’s elder brother.
His elder brother, Prince Tunji Ogunwusi, and his wife Ibilola Ogunwusi, who flew in from London. Also on the entourage were: Prince Jide Fadairo and his wife, Princess Folasade Ogunwusi, Princess Adesola, Princess Folusho and her husband Kolawole, and Princess Adebimpe and her husband, Prince Mobolaji Jimoh.
The Princesses were all clad in luxury white lace matched with Royal blue headgear. Their traditional Iyun beads were from Tjcollections, while the Ogunwusi Princes and their brothers-in-law spotted white flowing Agbada.
Also in attendance was Obalufe, the Emeses, Osoro, and Ooni of Ife inner caucus Chiefs who all together were 40 in number. All drove to Akure in style in 15 vehicles, which were mainly Benz series. They were led by escort as their hosts welcomed them at 5.31pm.
The Oluwaseyis, who were fully set awaiting their new in-laws quickly commenced the event at a few minutes to 6pm with opening prayer by the bride’s family. Princess Adebimpe Ogunwusi Jimoh, who is the immediate younger sister of Oonirisa, introduced the Ogunwusi’s family to the Oluwaseyis, while the bride’s family also introduced their family members.
The angelic bride walking tall like a Queen that she is came in looking regal in an embellished fully-stoned aso-oke with a light make-up from Akure make-up Pro. Oluyemi Oluposi of dashingbride makeover while her royal Iyun hung beautifully on her neck as she welcomed her new family.
The Ogunwusis couldn’t take their eyes off their beautiful bride as the bride’s family admired the Luxury Lois-Volton set of luggage which was filled with luxury attired for the new Queen. Because the new Queen doesn’t wear earrings, Kabiyesi also sourced for best collection of wristwatches for her. The big yam tubers were 89 pieces, Palm oil, rice, atare, honey, and others items were also put on display as Yoruba culture and tradition dictates
The Oluwaseyis didn’t keep them waiting for long as Prophetess Naomi was handed over to Oonirisa’s elder brother, the Sooko Ekun of Ile-Ife, Prince Bimbo Ogunwusi, who then handed her over to the Ogunwusi sisters.
Few minutes past 10pm, the Ooni entourage drove into Ile-Ife, where Oloori Ogunwusi was received at the entrance by Oonirisa’s Chiefs. Prayers were led by one of the Oonirisa’s Chiefs called ‘Loowa’ (Next to kabiyesi among Chiefs) while Obalufe also prayed for the new bride before she was presented to Ekerin Iyalode, who is a top member of Oonirisa Ruling house “Geesi ruling house. That was after a white Ram was killed, while the Oloori did the needful according to tradition of Ife. The Ekerin Iyalode poured water on her legss as the calabash was broken. Then the breaking of kolanut followed.

India unveils world’s tallest statue “Statue of Unity”
On Wednesday October 31st, India unveiled the world’s tallest statue in the western state of Gujurat in celebration of her unity.
Towering at 182 metres, the Statue of Unity is a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a hero of India’s freedom struggle and the country’s first deputy prime minister.
Patel, a Gujarati, was known as the ‘Iron man of India’ as he went about persuading all the princely states to join the Indian union after independence from British rule in 1947.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also hails from Gujarat, dedicated Patel’s statue to the people of India on the 142th birth anniversary of the statesman’s birth.
The record-breaking monument, which towers over the Narmada River, was built at a cost of 29.89 billion rupees (430 million dollars).
Based on award-winning sculptor Ram Sutar’s creation, the statue was built by engineering firm Larsen and Toubro. The bronze statue, which depicts Patel wearing the traditional Indian attire of a dhoti and a shawl, took 33 months to build and involved 250 engineers and 3400 workers, according to the Press Information Bureau of India.
“To build this statue, [hundreds of thousands) of farmers from all over India came together to donate their tools, portions of their soil and a mass movement developed around the statue,” Modi said in his speech. The 128-metre Spring Temple Buddha in China had previously held the record for tallest statue.

Saudi Arabia Arrests 17 Women For Taking Part In Halloween Party
Seventeen women, all Filipina expats, were arrested after hosting a Halloween party in Saudi Arabia.
The group of women were all detained by Saudi intelligence officers who raided a Riyadh compound on Friday, according to the Philippines foreign ministry.
Neighbours had reportedly complained about the noise. It is not known what charges they face however the foreign ministry reiterated that Saudi laws prohibit unattached men and women from being seen together in public.
Adnan Alonto, the Philipinne ambassador in Riyadh, told the ministry it appeared organisers of the party had been charged with holding an event without permit and disturbing the neighbourhood, the BBC reported.
Mr Alonto has since issued an advisory reminding the Filipino population in Saudi Arabia to “refrain from organising or attending events or gatherings that are unsanctioned or without permission.”
He said: “In addition, everyone is reminded to avoid mixed crowds, consuming liquor, and holding public practice of traditions that are associated with religions other than Islam, such as Halloween, Valentines and Christmas.”
It is thought that some of the partygoers did not know the gathering had a Halloween theme.
The public worship of any religion other than Islam is banned in Saudi Arabia – despite the fact at least two million of the country’s expatriates are non-Muslims.

Mr. Adeleke arraigned to court
The people’s democratic governorship candidate for Osun state has been arraigned to court over an act of impersonation.
Mr Adeleke was arraigned on Wednesday at a Federal High Court in Abuja on a four-count charge for alleged examination malpractice.
He was arraigned by the police for presenting himself as a student of Ojo-aron community grammar school in his state in 2017.
He has denied the allegation and alleged political withchunt.
He was brought to court with four other accused, including the school principal by the Nigerian police on Wednesday.
Mr Adeleke was however granted bail on self-recognizance by Justice I E, Ekwo.
According to Premium Times ,court has ordered him to deposit his international passport with the registrar.
Mr Adeleke was also asked to sign a bond stating that he will always be present at his trial.
Mr Adeleke narrowly lost to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gboyega Oyetola, in the governorship election. He is however, challenging the result at the election tribunal where he is asking to be declared the governor elect.

35-Year-Old Man Caught While Raping 5-Year-Old Girl In Benue (Photos)
A 35-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 5-year-old girl named Rukaya in Makurdi, Benue state capital.
According to reports, the alleged rapist was caught in the act while raping the young orphan. It was gathered that the little girl was rushed to the hospital and is receiving treatment after “being damaged” by the suspect identified as Haruna Shauibu.
The suspect was arrested by the police with the help of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, (FIDA), and has been charged to court for the alleged crime.
This latest R@pe case is coming as Benue residents are still lamenting the death of 13-year-old Elizabeth Ochanya Ogbaje who was R@ped by her uncle and his son in Benue state.
Before her death few days ago, Ochanya had battled Vesicovaginal fistula (VVF) and other health complications at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi after being allegedly severely abused by one Andrew Ogbuja, Head of Department, Catering and Hotel Management at the Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, Benue State, and his son, Victor Inalegwu Ogbuja, a final year student of Animal Production at the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi.
The duo consistently molested little Ochanya, a student of Federal Government Girls’ College, Gboko since she was 9 to age 13.
The autopsy report has also affirmed the cause of her death to be sexual molestation of a minor, according to reports.

Cristiano Ronaldo Has Already Set A Record At Juventus, Not Matched For 60 Years
Eyebrows were raised when Cristiano Ronaldo opted to leave Real Madrid for Juventus in the summer.
Serie A is renowned as being a more defensive league than La Liga, and many football fans assumed Ronaldo would struggle to score goals at such a prolific rate.
The Portuguese superstar made scoring goals look easy during his time in Spain. In 438 appearances for Los Blancos, Ronaldo netted a remarkable 450 goals.
That works out as 50 goals a season on average. No wonder Madrid have struggled without the five-time Ballon d’Or winner this season.
Madrid’s loss has undoubtedly been Juve’s gain. Although Ronaldo endured a difficult start to life with the Italian giants, he’s making up for lost time now.
In his last nine appearances, Ronaldo has scored seven goals. All seven goals have been scored in Serie A, making a mockery of suggestions that he would struggle to find the back of the net quite so regularly in Italy’s top division.
Spanish newspaper AS have now revealed that Ronaldo has set a Juventus record which hasn’t been matched for 60 years.
It’s been revealed that no Juve player has scored more than six goals in their first 10 Serie A games since the legendary John Charles during the 1957-58 campaign.
Charles, who scored seven goals in his first 10 league games for the Old Lady, ended his debut campaign in Italy with 28 goals to his name.
And now Ronaldo has matched that tally, making him the first player to score seven goals in his first 10 Serie A appearances for Juventus since the Welshman.
HE’S OUTPERFORMED SOME JUVE LEGENDS
That Juve have had some seriously talented forwards in their ranks over the years makes Ronaldo’s feat all the more impressive.
Gonzalo Higuain, Carlos Tevez and Filippo Inzaghi all scored six goals in their first 10 league appearances for the European giants.
Alessandro Del Piero, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Trezeguet, meanwhile, all netted five in the same number of games.
We can, therefore, assume that Ronaldo is going to end the 2018-19 campaign with another impressive number of goals to his name.
Despite his excellent start to the season, though, Ronaldo does not currently occupy pole position in Serie A’s top goalscorer charts.
He’s currently in second position, two goals behind Genoa’s in-form striker Krzysztof Piatek.

Petr Cech To Start For Arsenal Against Blackpool In The Carabao Cup
Petr Cech will start in goal for Arsenal in their Carabao Cup fourth-round tie at home to Blackpool, head coach Unai Emery has confirmed.
The 36-year-old began the season as first choice at the Emirates Stadium before he was injured in the win over Watford last month.
He was replaced in that game by summer signing Bernd Leno, who many had expected to see installed as No 1 as soon as he arrived from Bayer Leverkusen.
Leno has since impressed and kept his place between the posts in Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace, a result which ended an 11-match winning run for the Gunners. That was despite Cech being passed fit following his hamstring problem as Emery opted to stick with Leno.
But, with League One side Blackpool travelling to London on Wednesday night, Cech will be given the chance to regain his top billing.
‘In each moment for each match, we are going to give the goalkeepers the opportunity to help us,’ Emery said.
‘We are looking for the confidence in each goalkeeper, but now at the moment, Petr Cech will start the Blackpool match after coming back from his injury.’
Cech started the season as No 1 before injury saw him lose his place to Bernd Leno
Given his experience, it is likely Cech will captain a much-changed team as last year’s beaten finalists look to progress to round five of the Carabao Cup.
While fringe players such as Mohamed Elneny and Carl Jenkinson – who has not played for Arsenal in almost two years – will be hoping for an outing, Emery could also look to his youngsters.
The likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock have been around the senior squad at times this season, with Smith Rowe starting the third-round win over Brentford.

Trouble For Nigerians, As Trump Ends Automatic Citizenship To Babies Born In The US
President Donald Trump Say he plans to sign an executive order to end what he called the “ridiculous” practice of extending citizenship to children of unauthorized immigrants born in the US.
“It was always told to me that you needed a constitutional amendment,” to end the practice called “birthright citizenship,” Trump told Axios’s Jonathan Swan. “Guess what? You don’t.”
“You can definitely do it with an Act of Congress. But now they’re saying I can do it just with an executive order,” said Trump.
The 14th amendment to the US constitution, ratified by Congress in 1868 as part of the civil rights amendments after the Civil War, says the following:
“All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
But Trump’s proposed ban would only apply to unauthorized immigrants in the US. Trump’s lawyers would likely argue that that clause applies only to lawful US residents and not unauthorized immigrants or those on temporary visas.
“How ridiculous, we’re the only country in the world where a person comes in, has a baby, and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States for 85 years with all of those benefits. It’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous and it has to end.
“It’s in the process. It will happen with an executive order.”

A yet to be identified man reportedly died while on an early morning exercise in Aba, Abia State. Vanguard reports
The middle-aged man was said to be jogging along Ikot Ekpene Road, Ogbor Hill, when he suddenly collapsed and died before he could be taken to the hospital.
The incident led to traffic build up, as the deceased lay on the road, while sympathisers raised a barrier to prevent motorists from running over the corpse.
An eyewitness told Vanguard:
“The man was exercising along the road when he suddenly collapsed and whitish substance started coming out of his mouth.

Governors Announce N22,500 As New Minimum Wage
State governors have offered to pay a sum of N22,500 as minimum wage to workers across the country.
This comes amid the lingering impasse with organised joint labour unions led by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) who have demanded N30,000 for the least paid worker.
According to a statement by the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, Governor Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar, the governors reached the conclusion based on their ability and capacity to pay.
The governors’ offer was made on the day labour unions across the country embarked on a sensitisation campaign ahead of a scheduled nationwide industrial action from November 6.
Labour leaders posit that if the government fails to meet their demands by November 6, they would embark on the indefinite strike that will cripple the economy.

But in a series of tweets, West has seemingly backflipped, claiming that he feels like he has “been used” for his influence.
“My eyes are now wide open and now realise I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in,” he tweeted, without specifically mentioning Mr Trump or the Republican party.
He added that he would now be distancing himself from politics to focus on being creative. West, who once claimed he would run for the US presidency in 2020, also sought to distance himself from a new campaign that seeks to draw African-Americans away from supporting the Democrat Party.

Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is eager to take over Jose Mourinho’s job at Manchester United.
According to a UK Sun report citing Sky Sport Italia reporter Giovanni Guardala, the 49-year-old Italian tactician is keen in reuniting with Frenchman Paul Pogba, who he previously managed during his spell in Turin-based Juventus.

“There are players like Paul Pogba, whom he coached at Juventus. Or Alexis Sanchez, Herrera and Lukaku, three players he’s always wanted to sign,” Guardala added.
Interestingly, Conte is still without a job since he was shown the exit doors at Chelsea last summer, and was tipped as favourite for the Los Blancos managerial role.

On the other hand, Conte also replaced Mourinho following his sack in December 2015, but he did not arrive until the summer of 2016.
