Suspected cultists have killed a yet to be identified male student of the Ondo State-owned Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, according to Channels Television.
An eyewitness revealed that the incident occurred at about 6:00 pm on Thursday in front of the main gate of the institution.
The victim was said to have been shot by a group of young men inside a vehicle while on the motion.
The incident was said to have caused a pandemonium as students and other persons around scampered for safety.
The Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic, Mr Samuel Ojo, has confirmed the incident.
He disclosed that armed security men have been drafted to the area, saying there was no cause for alarm as normalcy has since returned to the school.
Also confirming the incident, the spokesman for the Ondo State Police Command, Mr Femi Joseph, said the police have made some arrest in connection with the murder.
He added that investigations were ongoing to unravel the circumstances that led to the unfortunate incident.

Nollywood producer, actor and businesswoman, Iyabo Ojo yesterday criticized her colleagues for not being supportive. In the lengthy Instagram post, she asserted that the local film industry is filled with fake people, back-biters and gossips.
Her note appears to have irked Kemi Olunloyo who has re-emphasized that Iyabo Ojo who is one of the richest actresses in the industry slept with a pastor.
Madam KOO as she is fondly called claims the entire Nollywood corroborated the intelligence she got on Iyabo Ojo. Police in Niger State have reportedly apprehended a 35-year-old man, Shuaibu Ibrahim, for being in possession of a human eyeball – Ibrahim, who hails from Safiu village in Toto Local Government of Nasarawa State, told the police the eyeball was to be sold for N250,000.
According to police report, the suspect was arrested in the early hours of yesterday by police detectives attached to the Gawu-Babangida Division in Gurara Local Government Area of Niger State, while on routine patrol.
It was learnt that the eyeball was removed from a victim during a communal clash between Igbira and Bassa people in Nasarawa State.
It was also learnt that one of Ibrahim’s accomplices, identified simply as Ojo, now at large, gave the eyeball to the suspect to sell in Niger State for N250,000 before he met his waterloo.
Investigation showed that the suspect had been trafficking human parts to other states in the North to make quick money.
Responding to questions, the suspect said that he was the intermediary be-tween Ojo and the buyers of human parts, a business he had been doing for over five years.
He said,
“My duty is to deliver human parts given to me by Ojo to his clients across the northern states.
We make quick money in this business but I cannot tell what the buyers are using it for. “A lot of people are interested in buying human parts. But honestly speaking, I don’t know what they use it for; my duty is to deliver as at when due to our clients and collect the money involved.”
Asked whether the buyers use the human parts for ritual purposes, Ibrahim said
“they must be using it for something; frankly speaking I don’t know. My duty was to carry out the order of my boss (Ojo) to his clients. “I don’t even ask clients what they are using the human eyeballs to do, but I guess it must be for something serious.”
While confirming the incident, the state Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Muhammad Abubakar, said Ibrahim’s arrest followed information from a member of the public, who drew the attention of the detectives to the suspect.
Abubakar said the suspect confessed that the eyeball, which was meant to be sold at N250,000, was gotten from Nasarawa State during a communal clash in the area. The PPRO added that the matter would soon be charged to court after investigation.

Earlier this fall, Netflix canceled both Iron Fist and Luke Cage, which called the future of Marvel’s Netflix series into question. Now, Deadline is reporting that Netflix has canceled Daredevil as well. Marvel confirmed the news with an official statement released to Deadline.
“Marvel’s Daredevil will not return for a fourth season on Netflix. We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note. We’re thankful to showrunner Erik Oleson, the show’s writers, stellar crew and incredible cast including Charlie Cox as Daredevil himself, and we’re grateful to the fans who have supported the show over the years. While the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel.”
Why has Netflix canceled over half of its Marvel shows? Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+, may have played a role in the increasing tensions between Disney/Marvel and Netflix. Deadline suggests that there was also a push from Netflix to reduce the episode count from 13 episodes to 10. Marvel reportedly resisted that. The report also cites creative issues as a possible reason that three Marvel shows are now defunct.
Netflix probably won’t cancel Jessica Jones or The Punisher before their new seasons in 2019. But after that, their future on Netflix isn’t very bright. Given Disney+’s family friendly focus, it’s hard to picture these R-rated Marvel characters making the leap to that streaming service. Marvel’s official statement even says that “the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come.” However, the good news is that “the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel.” Perhaps Daredevil could get a big screen debut in the MCU.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) says students may spend more time at home since no solid agreement has been reached in its negotiation with the federal government.
Abiodun Ogunyemi, national president of ASUU, said this on Thursday while speaking with reporters in Lagos.
Ogunyemi appealed to parents and students to show understanding, saying the industrial action is meant to avert total collapse of the country’s university system.
“We want to call on our students and parents to show understanding with our struggle as we are in this together,” he said.
“The whole essence of this struggle is to ensure that our students get worthy and deserving certificates that they will be proud of anywhere they may find themselves in the world.
“The struggle is to ensure too that we save Nigerian universities from going the way our public primary and secondary schools have gone.
“Today, most parents are sending their children and wards to private primary and secondary schools around the country because of the perceived or alleged falling standards.
“We do not want our universities to go the same way because a lot of our parents may not be able to afford the private university fees.”
Ogunyemi asked Nigerians to rise up and join the union to put pressure on the government and save the education sector.
“The sad thing now is that the World Bank is giving funds to some private universities to thrive over public universities,” he said.
“Unless Nigerians rise to the occasion and join ASUU in putting pressure on both the federal and state governments to pay adequate attention to our universities, secondary and primary schools, we may be facing a total collapse of our educational sector.
“We met on Monday in order to reach an agreement on the key issues we are agitating for but nothing tangible came out of the meeting.
“Rather than come out with firm commitment on what to do about these demands, they were appealing to us to go back to the classrooms while they tackle the issues; and to us they have missed the point.
“We were told that the negotiation will continue on Friday, November 30 but up till now, as we speak, I have not received any notice of meeting to that effect.”

The presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, said on Thursday, November 29, that he is convinced beyond any doubt that he would defeat President Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates in 2019.
According to Atiku, the general elections will be a victory walk for the PDP. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Atiku said this during the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja.
The presidential candidate this is in reaction to the momentum the party had gathered through its transparent primaries and the people working together. He said victory was awaiting the party.
Atiku, a former vice president, urged the leadership of the PDP to build on the momentum from its national convention and the just concluded primaries. Atiku said he was shocked when the leadership of the PDP invited him and informed him of the details of the money realised from the primaries.
He said that this had never happened before and had posed a very big challenge to him.
“I said that should we win and we must win the presidential election, we will have to enthrone the best fiscal responsibility this country has ever known or ever seen. “This is simply because our party has given us that leadership, chairman I commend you. “I believe with the genuine support of all of you, particularly of governors and members of the National Assembly, of party leaders, of local levels, and of course, party supporters, if we work together, I am convinced without any doubts that this election is for us to win.
“We have built up so much momentum after the Port Harcourt convention, it is now time for us to pick up the momentum again until we land in Aso Villa,” he said. Speaking at the meeting, the president of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, said through the party’s national convention in Port Harcourt, the PDP had demonstrated to the world that it was ready to regain power and it was time to work together to achieve that. “We must stay strong. It is not easy in a third world country to defeat an incumbent government, but it has been done before by everybody and we will do it again. “I say so because the people are with us, and when the people are with you, God is with you, PDP by God’s grace will succeed,” Saraki said stressing the need to make 2019 general elections credible.

A police sergeant, her daughter and grandchild, have died as a result of generator fumes at their home in Olorisaoko Compound, Osogbo, Osun State. According to reports, the police sergeant identified as Mary Samuel and her kids were found dead in the early hours of yesterday November 29th.
The deceased kept a generator in her kitchen. She was found dead with a torch in her hand when security men gained access to her apartment. It is believed that she must have slumped while heading towards the direction of the kitchen, where a generator was kept.
Thankfully, her eldest daughter, Jumoke, who was in the apartment as well, was revived at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, before she was transferred to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife for further treatment.
A neighbour of the deceased said
“Someone from the next flat to hers had gone to Mrs Samuel’s apartment to ask for money for electricity. But when she got to the door, it was locked and the cry of one of her grandchildren could be heard. The person that went there became worried that no one was attending to the crying baby and she alerted others in the neighbourhood. The entrance door to the apartment was later broken and people went in.
“Samuel was found almost Nakked and she was confirmed dead at LAUTECH. Two others were dead too. But Jumoke, the eldest daughter of the deceased, who came around with her two children last weekend, was revived at LAUTECH and has been rushed to the OAUTH, Ile-Ife. The only person not affected by the fumes was a four-month-old granddaughter of the deceased. She was taken away by neighbours as the corpses of the others were being evacuated.”

In a statement released on Wednesday by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, the Anti-kidnapping operatives of the State Police Command, arrested two brothers, for allegedly beheading 10-year-old Joseph Makinde over N200,000.
The operatives were on a routine patrol on the Ajah/Epe Expressway when they arrested the two brothers, Saheed Obadimeji, 19, and Ayodeji Obadimeji, 18, for having in their possession a fresh human head.
It was learnt that upon interrogation, the brothers confessed that one Sodiq Abefe contracted them to provide a human head for N200,000.
Oti said, “On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, around 8.30pm, a team of anti-kidnapping personnel of the Lagos State Police Command on routine patrol between Ajah and the Epe Expressway apprehended two brothers namely: Ayodeji Obadimeji, 18, and Saheed Obadimeji, 19, of Tunde Balogun Street, Shapati, Ibeju-Lekki, in possession of a fresh human head.
“On interrogation, they confessed that one Sodiq Abefe contracted them to provide him with a human head at the cost of N200,000, hence they lured the victim by sending him to buy a beverage drink for them, and when he brought the drink to them, they held him and cut off his head with a knife.
“The victim has been identified by his parents as Joseph Makinde, 10. The torso has been recovered from an uncompleted building located at Shapati and effort is being made to arrest the said Sodiq Abefe, who allegedly contracted the duo to commit the heinous crime.
“Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, has directed that the case be handed over to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.”
Oti added that the CP advised criminals to repent or relocate from the state, or regret the consequence of their actions.

A Facebook user identified as Ujuamara David Paul, has taken to the social networking platform to share some photos while revealing how she serves food to her husband in their home.
The beautiful young lady whose photos show how she kneels and places a dish of food to serve her husband, encouraged other ladies to use her method to serve their boyfriends who they plan to marry, as well as the married ones in a bid to keep a happy home.
She posted the photos wrote: “To those my brothers/friends that are not yet married, if she does not serve you food like this she’s not a WIFE MATERIAL.

The presidential candidate of African Action Congress – Omoyele Sowore has accused a former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of stealing from the Lagos State treasury to establish a televison station, Television Continental, TVC.
The founder of the online news agency Sahara Reporters made the damning allegation while speaking to journalists recently.
Sowore who is a graduate of the University of Lagos and Columbia University, U.S, made the allegation in reaction to a question about being funded by Tinubu who was the Lagos State governor between the year 1999 to 2007.
“So I’m sponsored by Tinubu but I don’t know who Tinubu is. And you all in the media cannot find evidence of even a meeting between me and Tinubu or a phone call between me and Tinubu or even any financial transaction. That means the media is not doing it… You cannot be reporting hearsays,” he said.
He went on to explain that he has always wielded more political influence than Tinubu.
“You know I, in 1992, when we go to meetings where we were fighting for democracy in this country in 1993, I will be sitting in front as the Student Union President of the University of Lagos, Bola Tinubu will be sitting in the back. Before the call him, I will have to speak first. With due respect, I may not be as old as he is but I’m better and more influential than he is in this country. I have been doing activism for 30 years. Before Bola Tinubu set up TVC, I set up Sahara Reporters. You know and I set it up on my own sweat with a laptop but he used Lagos money and the Lagos Polytechnic as the headquarters” he also added.
He also went on to say he has only met Tinubu just once in his life which was in the year 1999 specifically as he challenged Tinubu to come out if he has a different response to his claim.
He attributed the rumours of the alleged political relationship with Tinubu to former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in the light of his defeat to the APC candidate, Muhammadu Buhari during the presidential election in 2015.

Nigerian actress, singer, philanthropist and former model Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has stated that she sees nothing wrong with Black Chyna’s intention to launch her bleaching products in Nigeria.
Reacting to the move by the American model Blac Chyna, to launch a $250 cream which claims to restore the skin’s ‘natural glow’, the screen goddess said she cannot decide how any adult should live his or her life.
By now, it is no longer news that Angela Renee White, popularly known as Blac Chyna, American model and mother of two, arrived in Nigeria for the launch of a special product in collaboration with Whitenicious.
Whitenicious was launched in 2014 and created by Nigerian Cameroonian singer Reprudencia Sonkey, popularly known as Dencia, who herself appears to be significantly lighter than she was a few years ago.
The products range from dark knuckles and knees cream to dark spot removers, from a knuckles eraser pen to papaya soap and brightening scrubs.
However, the recent buzz came from the ‘Whitenicious X Blac Chyna Diamond Illuminating & Lightening Cream’ which claims to restore the skin’s “natural glow,” reduce “the visibility and intensity of age spots by lightening their appearance” and improve “the appearance of dull, discoloured skin by visibly stamping out unevenness to leave the complexion illuminated.”
However Nigerian Actress Omotola Jalade speaking with GNTV’s Abyna Dubai thinks the products are meant for adults who are expected to know the repercussion of whatever products they are purchasing.
She stated that, “if they want to buy the cream she is about to sell then that’s their choice”. She further reiterated, “Chyna is an adult selling the products to adults, if they want it, they can get”, she concluded.
In Nigeria, 77% of women are reported by the World Health Organization to use some form of skin-lightening product on a regular basis so it sure looks like the model would be flying back home with a lot of stocks.
On the other hand some celebrities including Dancehall artiste Burna Boy and Ghana’s Fuse ODG have warned people not to patronize what they describe as “poison”.

Last night was really amazing for me, not just because I was invited by Fendi to dine with a lot of amazing, strong societal giants and strong personalities but also the fact that people of my kind from a dark and blurry background from the slums can get here on this level, not only make it out of the hood but also be able to integrate from the streets to the cooperate world which I know I am not the only one who has made it enough to be able to achieve this but a lot of people who made it only still care about being a champion in the street and the hood.
For me I know I was not created to be a champion in a local market and I know for a fact I have been inspiring a lot of people not just from Africa but every part of the world on how to live life better and more greatly in the fashion world, I have been able to expose a lot of people to see the light (You all are welcome lol) and I hope someday I will be inspiring more young people to join me on this path. Being the only black person that was invited there last night, I hope to see many of you black kings and queens in this type of gatherings next time and not just in those your little gossip, hating on each other gatherings

2013 Ptroject Fame winner Olawale Ojo who made news a few months ago when it was revealed that he is now a cab driver has teken to IG to share more insight on his mental health journey.
According to the talented singer, he he has been through a lot and has had to go see a therapist to help with his mental state.
Wale as he is fondly called added that he is coming out a s a better act now and would love people to accept him for who he really is.
Talking on his mental health journey, he said;
I still can’t make sense of it. At my lowest point, I gave an unfiltered interview and talked openly about my situation.
Like many people in Nigeria, things were dire. To make it worse, given my previous achievements, few would’ve expected it.
This spontaneous moment of vulnerability actually sparked something creatively and professionally. I have been creating some of my best work which very soon I can share with the world.
Money still no dey. But I dey see am around the corner.
What’s the lesson in all of this?
- There is hope in vulnerability.
- There is no shame in your situation, no matter what it is.
You don’t need to read the newspaper to realize that people are suffering. You see it in the streets. Hear it from your friends. And even your family.
You witness yourself, or a close relative or friends retreat alone to the edge of the Lagoon.
And in Nigeria where saving face is Rule #1. We suffer alone. We don’t let people into our lives because they might see the cracks that are present. We forget that the more people that join us in pounding the yam, the faster we get to eat. We tie our self worth, our confidence, our happiness to our situation. And pile on self-shaming.
And for some people, they cross over into the realm of depression. And sadly some people take the mortal decision to drown in that Lagoon.
As I said earlier, there is hope in vulnerability. I’m proof of it.
So if you’re in this situation, I implore you, find someone trusted, hopefully someone trained or extremely experienced to counsel. And allow yourself to be vulnerable to them. Share your worse, your darkest of thoughts, your happiest of moments. I promise you, you will be better for it.
Ironically, I’ve essentially gone through therapy sessions in public the last few months. I now realize I should eventually talk to an actual professional therapist to help deal with the pains of the past in order to avoid “the Lagoon” and prepare for the future.
If you can afford it, I suggest you do the same.
You have gone through some Sh!t. You might be currently going through some Sh!t. And since we’re in Nigeria in 2018, the Sh!t might be ghastly. Please don’t suffer alone. Heed my advice. Talk to a professional in a private setting.
I also received many messages from people that were touched by my story. People that pushed forward because of my choosing to be vulnerable. I’ve realized I share more of my story and life.
I also realize that social media is probably not the most healthy place to do that. I want to share my thoughts, my life, my ups, and my downs. And not worry about it going viral. Just for my few loyal fans, and anyone else who cares enough to let me into their inbox.
