Some of the car occupants reportedly sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Ebomhiana Musa, a staff at the Edo government house shared the news. He wrote;

“Convoy of Edo State Deputy Governor in minor auto crash: The spare car in the convoy of Edo State Deputy Governor was this evening involved in a crash on it’s way from Asaba”.

“It occurred shortly after Abudu, at a check point mounted by a team of policemen. The policemen had taken advantage of a bad sport in the ever busy Asaba- Benin Expressway to mount the check point which resulted in the crash”.
