Mbappe Who? I Didn’t Know Who He Was A Year Ago- Kevin DeBruyne

With the first semifinal of the World Cup in everyone’s minds, Belgian star, Kevin DeBruyne has admitted that a year ago he had no idea who France starlet, Kylian Mbappe was.

The 19-year-old looks set to play some part in the Semifinal and will be looking to add to his tally of 3 goals in the competition and continue to prove to the world that he is the real deal.

DeBruyne has hailed the striker, predicting that he will be a world-class star for years to come

He said: “He’s become a star in France,”

“When I was playing against Monaco he had only played about 10 matches. He hadn’t played a lot of football, to tell the truth.

“At that time I didn’t know him but now he’s been playing for a year and a half. He plays for a great team. He’s played a lot for France, he’s played a lot of Champions League. He’s a different player now.”

“He’s a different player now,” De Bruyne added. “He’s a star for the next 15 years. He’s had a fantastic year – he can even improve, if that’s possible.

“He can be dangerous for us but we are going to try and stop him from playing.”
