Check Out The 5 Unbelievable Arsenal Stars Who Have Stepped Up Their Game this Season

The contest between Arsenal and Liverpool on Saturday showed the Gunners are capable of going toe-to-toe with any team in the English Premier League. Below are the 5 most improved Arsenal players under new coach, Unai Emery.
Alexandre Lacazette’s late minute strike ensured Arsenal maintained their unbeaten run in the Premier League over the weekend.
James Milner opened the scoring for the Reds in the 61st minute after both sides endured a barren first half in the game.
The game means that the Gunners have gone 14 games in all competitions without tasting a defeat after their first two defeats of the season in August.
However, the arrival of Unai Emery to the Emirates Stadium has helped some of the players step up their game and help the north Londoners rank 5th on the table.
Below are the five Arsenal stars who have improved their game with just three months into the current season:
5. Danny Welbeck
Welbeck has been one of those players who show glimpses of amazing talent followed by injury or loss of form. As a result, he’s always had a stop-start career since making a name for himself at Manchester United.

Although a 3rd choice striker option this season, Welbeck has already displayed improved confidence and goal return this season – 4 combined in the Carabao Cup and Europa League.
4. Hector Bellerin
A comparison between the number of assists for this season versus last season says it all.
Last season, Bellerin only managed 3 assists. He’s already notched 4 this season with the majority of games still to be played.

The young Spaniard’s ability was never in question but he suffered from a lack of consistency last season.
In addition to the additional end product going forward, his defensive contribution has improved substantially as well.
3. Alex Iwobi
Few Gunners fans would have tipped Iwobi as a serious contender for their player of the season at the start of the campaign.
However, the young Nigerian attacker stands a great chance based on his exploits this season.
His quick feet and running in the final third are proving a handful for defenders.
Comparing his current form to that of 2015/ 2016 when he started, the difference is night and day.

2. Alexandre Lacazette
For many a season, Gunners fans were crying out for a top drawer striker to lead the line.
Olivier Giroud was always seen as a great squad player but not someone capable of consistently scoring 20 goals per season – enter Lacazette.

However, the initial hype soon died down last season following a slump in form and knee injury.
With the addition of Aubameyang in January, it seemed Lacazette had slipped down the pecking order.
However, he seems a player reborn this season.
After a tricky start to the campaign, Arsenal have achieved record form in the league and the Frenchman’s 5 goals have been a huge contributing factor.
1. Rob Holding
It was a tough job narrowing it down but Holding’s remarkable improvement cannot go unnoticed.
"There is a particular player who has surprised me a great deal. I've seen Rob Holding play for Arsenal but never better than when I saw him against Liverpool. The defender was cool on the ball and played with a confidence and assurance I hadn't seen before."

With a price tag of only £2 million, expectations have never really been high with the young Englishman.
As a result, his underwhelming performances upon arrival in 2016 did not receive widespread criticism.
This season Holding has become a rock at the back for Unai Emery.
In the absence of Laurent Koscielny and Sokratis, the youngster has truly stepped up and barely put a foot wrong this season.
Dug deep for that point. The fans were unreal tonight

The two top-four teams shared the points as James Milner and Alexander Lacazette both scored for either sides in the second half.
Both sides played top quality football at the Emirates as Arsenal were on the backdrop of a 12-match unbeaten run.
